The administration has decided for the second time since January to certify Iranian compliance with the nuclear agreement that President Trump has called a "disastrous" deal, according to US and foreign officials. But State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said that until the Iran review is completed, the us will continue upholding its side of the agreement: relief from nuclear sanctions.

"The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) proved that followers of the policy of pressure have finally realized its inefficiency, therefore, the U.S. should also reconsider its approach towards the agreement", Iran's IRNA news agency quoted Zarif as saying in NY.

Despite a speech before AIPAC in March 2016, where Trump said his "number one priority is to dismantle the disastrous deal with Iran", aides told The Weekly Standard the president's support is grudging - and he could change his mind before the deadline.

He had complained about the deal bitterly during last year's presidential campaign.

According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi, the top Iranian diplomat is also scheduled to sit down with scholars and officials from different countries on the sidelines of the conference.

Dalian Wanda Group selling chunk of its assets for $9.3B
Wanda is to use all proceeds from the deal to pay back loans, according to the report, which also cited an interview with Wang. Four years later, it snapped up Hollywood studio Legendary Entertainment for $3.5 billion.

But the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations agency that is monitoring the nuclear deal, has said Iran is broadly in compliance.

The US State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said the US administration has not completed the review of the JCPOA.

"The worldwide accord successfully blocked Iran's paths to a nuclear weapon and has greatly strengthened the security of the United States and our allies", the letter stated.

The landmark 2015 deal struck with Iran by the United States, France, Britain, Russia, China, Germany and the European Union put limits on Iran's nuclear activities in exchange for removal of economic and financial sanctions. Under its terms, Iran agreed to curb its nuclear program, long suspected of being aimed at developing atomic weapons, in return for billions of dollars in sanctions relief.
