Diego Costa has been a crucial cog in Chelsea's run to a pair of Premier League titles over the last three seasons, but his relationship with the club seems to have soured.

"Diego Costa first asked to quit Chelsea during their pre-season training camp in Los Angeles a year ago, leaving the club bemused over his claims to be upset at being told by text message from Antonio Conte in June that he could go".

After being granted an additional week of leave and missing the pre-season tour to Asia, Costa is still to return to London around two weeks after his anticipated arrival. If I was in the wrong, I'd go back now and do as they say.

Diego Costa insists he is feeling the love of his Chelsea team-mates despite being frozen out of Antonio Conte's plans this season.

However, Conte remains unconvinced by Michy Batshuayi and wants to add more firepower to his squad in the form of Belotti, according to the Daily Star.

"They want me to be there training with the reserves", the 28-year-old said.

Costa is adamant that he will only consider a move back to former club Atletico Madrid, who are banned by Federation Internationale de Football Association from registering new players until January 2018.

These previously reported peaks got researchers wondering if hidden volcanoes could be waiting patiently under Antarctica's ice. The results were then compared with satellite and database records and geological information from other aerial surveys.

Costa is, however, still on the books at Stamford Bridge, with a transfer ban imposed on Atletico Madrid - his preferred destination - further complicating matters.

Costa has stayed away from Chelsea's Cobham training base and Wright thinks he should at least be there keeping his fitness up. I'll come back stronger.

In Costa's absence, the Blues lost 3-2 to Burnley last Saturday.

"He's earning a fortune at Chelsea".

Perhaps the best Costa can hope for is to engender some goodwill, helping him work towards his preferred resolution: a return to his former club Atlético Madrid. "Then I don't blame him, because I would have the hump over that".
