Inflatable chicken stares down the White House

  • The Trump inflatable chicken dubbed Donny was the mascot at the Tax March in April

A huge inflatable chicken with orange hair and wings in the shape of President Trump's hands was looming near the White House on Wednesday afternoon.

The massive balloon appeared on Wednesday on a piece of land just south of the White House, between the president's residence and the Washington monument, HuffPost noted.

In a video message posted on Twitter, Taran Singh Brar, a documentary filmmaker and organizer, said they erected the giant prop to "criticize the President for being weak and ineffective leader".

Brar listed Trump's unwillingness to release tax returns, stand up to Vladimir Putin and dealing with North Korea as his prime examples.

Seven hours later, the area was still flooded with people taking photos and marveling at the golden-haired inflatable, but one notable Washington, D.C. resident missed out.

Swift and Mueller are both expected to testify in the case, along with Mueller's former boss and members of Swift's entourage. According to People , the 27-year-old was on hand while potential jurors were interviewed and screened at the courthouse.

While US President Donald Trump continues his tough talk against North Korea, there has been an unusual protest on his home front.

Believe it or not, Brar secured permits for the balloon from the National Park Service and the Secret Service. Online retail website Ebay reportedly lists several available Trump chickens, with a 10-foot chicken hailing from China going for almost $500. A 10-foot chicken from China sells for $500.

However, it is unlikely to bother President Trump too much as he is out of town on a "working vacation".

You can see the resemblance of the inflatable chicken near the White House today (below) to that mall mascot statue (above). However, it is unclear why the rooster made its arrival again, according to CBS News.

A GoFundMe page has also been set up.
