On Friday a party official told AFP that Sharif's wife would contest the parliamentary seat left vacant after his removal.

Shehbaz Sharif is set to be appointed as president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) after Pakistan's Election Commission asked the ruling party to replace his brother Nawaz Sharif, who was disqualified as prime minister by the Supreme Court, a senior leader has said.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry asked Nawaz Sharif who is behind the conspiracy against him, adding that his children will sent to Adiala Jail if they don't take bail.

After being driven 12 hours surrounded by supporters showering his vehicle with rose petals from capital Islamabad to the neighbouring city of Rawalpindi, normally a 30 minute drive, Sharif addressed the crowd shortly after midnight.

Sharif halted in Jehlum for the night, where he told the swelling crowd of around 10,000 people that the Supreme Court's decision to depose him last month after a corruption probe was an "insult" to Pakistanis.

Family politics in Pakistan is common and like PML-N, which is dominated by Sharif family, the main opposition Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is run by Bhutto family.

Health and administration officials met with Trump at his private golf club in Bedminster , N.J., to update him on the crisis. He also said that, "the administration can do the same sorts of things without declaring an emergency".

Former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif said that it was pity that none of the prime ministers in the 70-year history of the country have been allowed to complete their tenure.

PML-N leaders are in the process of making arrangements for more supporters to attend the rally.

Sharif said that across his journey he saw that citizens had not accepted his disqualification and asked his supporters to await his next move, without elaborating.

At a speech during a stop in the town of Jhelum, Sharif noted that he was voted into office by the people but judges ousted him. "Wait for my call to join me in the struggle against such elements as have disgraced the democratic right of the people", he said.

"May I ask why I was ousted?" There were no charges of corruption or kickbacks on me.

Sharif vowed that he would not sit back home.

Pointing out that gathering here serves as a referendum, he claimed that the court of the people of Pakistan has given its verdict in his favour. "Do not forget your promise and when Nawaz Sharif's message will reach to you, you all have to be with me", he urged the workers.
