  • Neymar, PSG and Manchester City accused of 'peeing in the swimming pool' by La Liga president Javier Tebas

La Liga president Javier Tebas says he is anxious about Paris Saint-Germain being able to buy Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi after their controversial transfer of Neymar this summer.

Qatari-owned PSG have spent 380 million euros ($450.66m) to secure the services of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, while Man City, owned by the Abu Dhabi United Group, have splashed more than £200 million (218m euros) on full-backs Benjamin Mendy, Kyle Walker and Danilo, goalkeeper Ederson and attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva.

La Liga president Javier Tebas said that PSG and Manchester City are benefiting from state aid which distorts European competitions.

Girona were accused of trying to "cook the books" over five loan players sent there by City this summer by the La Liga chief.

A City spokeswoman said last night: "Mr Tebas" statements are ill-informed and in parts pure fiction.

"The LFP recalls that only UEFA is empowered to rule on compliance with the rules of Financial Fair Play by PSG".

"As they can expect, Manchester City Football Club and City Football Group have sought legal advice and will act accordingly", the statement continued.

But Kim put the threat on hold later, saying he would watch the USA behavior a "little more". In July, the US and South Korean militaries also fired missiles into South Korean waters.

"Manchester City paid almost €1000m, PSG €950m for transfers".

Tebas argues that because clubs such as City and French giants PSG have accrued a disproportionate amount of funding he believes is not reflective of footballing success, action should now be taken to stop them "destructuring" European football.

A City spokeswoman said: "We note the public comments made by Mr Tebas today and earlier this week".

This summer, the Blues loaned five players to the Spanish outfit, including: Douglas Luiz, Marlos Moreno, Larry Kayode, Aleix Garcia and Pablo Maffeo.

"These unworthy remarks do not live up to an institution as respectable and efficient as LaLiga", said the LFP in a statement.

Tebas, who has revolutionised La Liga since taking over in 2013, engineering a collective TV football rights deal among other measures, said PSG were simply not paying market prices. We have caught them peeing in the swimming pool.

"This is when the football clubs have competitive advantage not coming from club itself".
