BTW, in case you had any doubts about how Rose was coming back, here's what she tweeted BEFORE all that.

While Twitter has not revealed exactly why McGowan's account was suspended, it followed her speaking out about sexual abuse, and telling Ben Affleck to "fuck off" after he said he knew nothing of Weinstein's reputation for sexual harassment.

Even if the Twitter boycott is successful by some measure, it will also ultimately be a missed opportunity to stand together as women, our differences on display, bound in a unity we've yet to see so far.

In a series of FIRE tweets to Amazon president Jeff Bezos, accusing him of killing her project after she spoke out about Weinstein, she finally says the words outright.

"But along with support came some backlash from women who disagreed with the boycott tactic and encouraged Twitter users to "#AmplifyWomen" instead.

Trump's words hang over NAFTA table as United States business frets
Trudeau will travel to Mexico on Thursday to hold additional NAFTA talks with his Mexican counterpart, Enrique Pena Nieto. This week the influential US Chamber of Commerce warned it was time to "ring alarm bells" over the NAFTA talks.

On Tuesday, Hollywood stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie also made accusations of sexual harassment against Weinstein, while Mira Sorvino and Rosanna Arquette claimed in a piece for The New Yorker that after rejecting the movie mogul's unwanted advances, they were kept from being hired for projects.

"They shut down Rose McGowan but not this dude", she tweeted, with images of abusive messages.

Following the controversy, Twitter explained the reason for suspending the actress' account.

It additionally stated that McGowan's account would be reinstated after 12 hours, which could be hastened by deleting the offending tweets.

"We have been in touch with Ms. McGowan's team", Twitter's chief spokesperson told The Times in an email Thursday. "We will be clearer about these policies and decisions in the future", the tweeted statement read. "We stand with the courageous women and men who use Twitter to share their stories, and will work hard every day to improve our processes to protect those voices", Twitter tweeted.
