  • Actress Paz De La Huerta Says Harvey Weinstein Raped Her Twice

The New York Police Department has enough evidence for an arrest against Harvey Weinstein, according to the detective leading the investigation.

The NYPD said they corroborated portions of actress Paz de la Huerta's account, in which she alleges Weinstein raped her twice in her apartment, and are seeking more evidence in their investigation to obtain an arrest warrant. De la Huerta claims that the former studio head forcibly raped her on two separate occasions, each of which fall under New York State's statute of limitations for rape in the first degree.

"We have an actual case here, so we are happy with where the investigation is right now". This happened seven years ago, and we found corroboration along the way.

The first instance, she says, took place in November of that year after Weinstein offered to give her a ride home to her Tribeca apartment.

"He pushed me on the bed. and it happened all very suddenly", de la Huerta told CBS.

She says Weinstein insisted they have drinks.

According to the Times, "The theater had agreed to reimburse Mr. Weinstein and other investors for a $1.25 million payment and $500,000 charitable contribution toward the show if they could get third parties to donate those amounts, according to records of the arrangement".

Body parts found in cooler; man arrested
In total, the police found the bodies of eight women and one man in several large boxes in the apartment, according to the media. The apartment is in a residential area along the Odakyu Odawara Line, about 600 meters from Sobudai-mae Station.

Weinstein has not commented on the latest accusation but has repeatedly denied allegations of non-consensual sex.

The infamous movie producer has come under fire, with dozens of women accusing him of sexually harassing or attacking them.

The actress' attorney provided material to New York District Attorney Maxine B. Rosenthal, who is considering filing charges against the movie mogul.

She told CBS that she had been drinking that night and was in no state to agree to having sex.

Is there enough evidence for prosecutors to file charges against Weinstein?

The Manhattan district attorney's office has a senior prosecutor assigned to investigate de la Huerta's rape claims, AP reported.
