Janney, who was honoured with the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award for her role in "I, Tonya", gave Winslet a kiss before heading back to her seat.

While everyone arrived on the red carpet in their award show-best, the night's best duo happened to be I, Tonya co-stars, Margot Robbie and Allison Janney.

The Academy Award victor continued, "I want to stroke you, or something. I mean, we could always kiss, maybe?" she said candidly. Winslet said. "This is an exciting moment!"

Stars like Angelina Jolie, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Mary J. Blige were recognized for their work onscreen. Shailene Woodley presented Kate with the award. "I know I don't really know you but I just want to be you".

The glamorous event, which saw the likes of Amy Adams, Viola Davis, Harrison Ford and Carey Mulligan also in attendance, is considered a forecaster to the Oscars, which take place early next year.
