It said numerous alleged incidents took place at the theatre - located in the borough of Lambeth - and involved members of staff.

Scotland Yard has opened another investigation of Kevin Spacey.

The Met Police is already investigating one claim of sexual assault by a different male victim, which occurred in Lambeth, where the theatre is based, in 2008.

"On Friday, 17 November, a further allegation was made about the same man".

The allegation was made just a day after the Old Vic released results of its own internal investigation into the matter.

A series of accusations have been leveled against the American since fellow actor Anthony Rapp alleged Spacey tried to seduce him when he was 14.

Police refused to name the suspect in the case which they stated was the same individual accused in relation to a separate assault alleged to have taken place in 2008 in the same area.

Kevin Spacey was artistic director between 2004 and 2015 at the Old Vic, which is based in Lambeth.

But it said the same man was accused November 1 of another assault in 2008, also in Lambeth.

Spacey said he did "not remember the encounter" but offered "the sincerest apology" if it had taken place.

There were many other allegations made after Rapp's story became public.

Netflix and Sony Pictures have cut ties with the star, firing him from House Of Cards and replacing him in upcoming film All the Money in the World. "Spacey to feel free to touch us", Cavazos stated. But it also acknowledged that the Oscar-winning actor's stardom had created a "cult of personality" that discouraged any alleged victims or witnesses of misconduct to make their complaints known.

The man, who was a teenager at the time, said Spacey's behaviour during that weekend was "either very stupid or predatory - or maybe a little of both".
