Rainbow Six Siege could soon be getting a new Zombie mode after the White Noise rollout when the Year 3 release date comes along. For the first time there will be a co-op event called Outbreak which will take place over four weeks during Season 1 and be free to play for all Rainbow Six Siege owners.

The two operators being added first are biohazard specialists. In this new mode, which Ubisoft gave some brief details of in the panel just below, you'll be fighting against something you "might not totally expect" in the new co-op mode.

Siege has been lighting up the charts since its launch nearly two years ago, maintaining a loyal player base with a steady stream of new content. Season 2 will be taking us to the brand new location of Italy, along with two new Italian GIS Operators, while Season 3 will contain a complete rework of an existing (yet unknown) map, New Operators from Scotland Yard in the United Kingdom and Delta Force from the US.

As with the previous two years, Year 3 will include four seasons of new content throughout 2018. Season 4 will feature a new map from Morocco with two new operators from the Moroccon GIGR.

White Noise will be the final content drop before Rainbow Six Siege Year 3
UBISOFT

Earlier this year brand director Alexandre Remy said: "We're constantly looking and prototyping".

"That is the DNA of the game, so when you look at what game modes would sufficiently refresh the experience but remain faithful to those rules, there's not that many".

By launching timed events, Ubisoft could be testing the water to see how well a different-styled mode is received.

Operation White Noise brings the usual one map and two operators to Rainbow Six Siege - along with a bonus third operator from Poland (as per the revised Rainbow Six Siege Year 2 Operation Health roadmap).
