  • Google's mobile data-saving app has moved out of beta and renamed to Datally

Google wants to help users control their data usage and plans to do so with its latest app called Datally...

"Datally shows you how much data you have used on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and alerts you when apps consume a lot of data".

Google has launched a new mobile app named Datally which helps Android users stay under the limits of pricey mobile data packages.

The app allows you to further save data by informing you if you're near public Wi-Fi and help you connect.

The app is now globally available on the Google Play Store for all phones running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and higher, Google said.

Data Saver bubble - Once Data Saver is turned on, the bubble will appear when a user goes into an app.

"Mobile data is expensive for many people around the world".

Google says Datally will soon allow users to check their mobile data balance and set balance expiration reminders. Worse still many apps keep draining your mobile data while functioning in the background. If you're not familiar with Google's steadily-growing collection of utility apps-for example, the somewhat related Project Fi and Google Wifi apps-they're generally quite good and are improving all the time.

Save Data: Thirdly, it helps you save data. However, the company is looking to the next billion Internet users, with those users' experience of the Internet being very different from their predecessors. It's your ally in tracking data usage. It looks like Google had a positive response to Triangle as the search giant has made it available for everyone to download and has renamed it Datally. For instance, you can access features built into Android that will tell you how apps are using data. Even though this is the case, the app makes accessing these options much quicker and easier, meaning they are not the exclusive domain of Android experts. The app also tracks real-time usage of each app that's now in use, which Google likens to a "speedometer" for your data. Mastering these three is key to preventing unwanted mobile data depletion.
