The forthcoming Federation Internationale de Football Association world cup that would take place in Russia next year, has Nigeria, Iceland, Croatia and Argentina in the same group.

"The battle between Nigeria and Argentina has always been a thriller and the Eagles' 4-2 win against the Argentines recently in a friendly match has made it even sweeter ahead of their Russian Federation 2018 group stage encounter".

He added that it was another opportunity for the Super Eagles to prove to the world that their recent 4-2 win against the South American giants was not a fluke. Argentina on their part have kept three clean sheets.

Neither opponent represent easy foe, and both will test Gernot Rohr's Eagles.

"I won't tell lie, it's a tough group but I believe we can come out if we stick to our plans for what we have been doing throughout the qualifiers, we can qualify".

Croatia eliminated Greece 4-1 on aggregate in the European final playoffs to qualify for this Mundial.

It starts with their opening game against Croatia.

Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has suggested that the June 27th clash between Nigeria and Argentina could determine his team's progress at the 2018 world cup in Russian Federation.

They beat Bulgaria in 1994, Spain in 1998, and Bosnia in 2014, drawing with England 2002, and will be aiming for at least four points heading into their final fixture against Argentina.

The Super Eagles were drawn alongside Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in Group D.

A draw there would see the Super Eagles advance, providing Nigeria haven't slipped up before then. Here are some of the best reactions regarding said draw. It will be more hard than in the friendly. Samson Siasia was the first player to score a goal at the FIFA World Cup level between both teams while Marcos Rojo was the last player to find the back of the net.

Hallgrimsson hopes 15,000 of the island's population of about 330,000 will travel to Russian Federation where Iceland should be many fans' second favorite team. "It will be a very interesting group".
