Tommy Wiseau and the Golden Globes wrap-it-up music weren't the only things James Franco battled when accepting his Best Actor award on Sunday night.
Many who appeared at the Golden Globes wore black, showed up with activists and spoke up in order to bring awareness to sexual misconduct in Hollywood. Franco's gesture and the Golden Globes' decision to honor him, many pointed out, felt like an insult for a night that was intended as a protest and opportunity to support survivors and victims.
Breakfast Club star Ally Sheedy also weighed in, writing in deleted tweets (via Variety): "Why is a man hosting?"
Mumbai: It seems Hugh Jackman just couldn't hide his disappointment when James Franco won Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for his role in "The Disaster Artist". "Said too much. Nite love ya".

Local Kmart store to close
Sears Holdings , which owns both Sears and K-Mart, announced the closings Thursday, extending months of similar shut downs. The closures are part of an effort to "right size" its footprint and the company's finances, according to a news release.
James was already making headlines for his freakish speech, which began with the actor denying Tommy Wiseau - the man he portrays in The Disaster Artist - a chance to speak after inviting him up on stage. "Please never ask me why I left the film/TV business", Ally tweeted during the Golden Globes. At one point during the news cycle, he tweeted, "I HOPE PARENTS KEEP THEIR TEENS AWAY FROM ME". This, given Franco's alleged history, was called into question. She then named Christian Slater in another tweet.
- Abstinence Enthusiast (@SortaBad) January 8, 2018 It makes me sick that there are men like James Franco hiding behind Time's Up pins and black suits, claiming to support survivors while they participate in and benefit from misogynist, abusive behaviour. "No one will ask him about his acting school partner or why they suddenly had to close".
Franco was announced as the victor, with his speech seeing him bring Tommy Wiseau - who he played in The Disaster Artist - up on stage. I knew a story was being worked on by some reporters, but these folks got impatient.
