According to the NY Daily News, "all signs point to" the Giants naming Patricia as their next head coach once the Patriots' playoff run comes to an end.
As head coaching openings are starting to be filled around the league, the Detroit Lions, New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals are still looking.
Now, a new report is surfacing, and while it also suggests that a Patriots coach could be headed to Jersey, this time it's defensive coordinator Matt Patricia's name that's being thrown around.
On top of that, the New York Daily News is reporting that "all signs point" to Patricia signing with the Giants over the Lions.
The New York Giants and newly appointed general manager Dave Gettleman continue to do their due diligence in the search for franchise's next head coach.

"The Giants are conducting their sixth and final interview with former Broncos RB coach Eric Studesville on Wednesday, but the feeling is Patricia and the Giants may have found themselves a ideal match, " the Daily News's Pat Leonard wrote. Patricia boasts a strong pedigree as the architect of a defense that's helped New England win two of the last three Super Bowls, though, and there's plenty of buzz surrounding him in the Tri-State area.
Patricia would be the first defensive-minded coach to take over the Giants since Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Parcells initial retirement in 1990. Leonard said Patricia is expected to be named as the next coach of the Giants, replacing the fired Ben McAdoo.
Patricia and the Patriots face the Titans in the AFC Divisional Round on Saturday.
Maybe Matt Patricia isn't going to Detroit after all.
