Pulwama Encounter: Four CRPF men, two militants killed

Heavily armed terrorists launched a pre-dawn attack on a CRPF camp in Pulwama district of South Kashmir, killing four personnel of the force and injuring three others, a security forces spokesperson said. Security forces have cordoned off entire camp from outside to prevent any attack. Seven jawans have been injured in this encounter, in which four have died and three have been injured. Latest reports state that three terrorists were killed in the operation.

Reports said that at atleast three CRPF personnel were injured in militant attack who have been rushed to hospital.

The militants initially said to be two, barged into the Lethpora centre from the hillside and killed two CRPF men.

A spokesman of the Pakistan-based outfit told local media that militants of the outfit stormed into the camp at Lehtpora in Pulwama.

The terrorists first lobbed grenades and then began indiscriminate firing and entered the training centre in Awantipora. Trali was arrested in Delhi in 2003 and the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) had sentenced her to life imprisonment in 2011.
