  • Warren Gatland is set to bring up 100 games as Wales coach next weekend

Gatland knows all about the threat posed by the half-back pairing, who were in his starting line-up for two of the three British and Irish Lions Tests in New Zealand previous year.

Gatland has made three changes to his team from their 12-6 defeat to England - and Wales must win in Dublin to keep their Six Nations title hopes alive.

"We had a good discussion about the back three and whether to play Dan at 10", said Gatland, who on Saturday will take charge of Wales for the 100th time, 20 years to the day since he was appointed the head coach of Ireland.

"We've got to make sure we don't get caught up in that, keep our patience defensively, and make sure our discipline is good".

"We have got to put Conor and his kicking game under pressure and we have to be prepared to be pretty physical against them".

Asked by Off the Ball's Oisin Langan why home advantage doesn't seem to matter as much for Ireland against Wales as it would against another opponent, Kearney said: "I can't put my finger on anything". He's a big go-forward player for them and we must not allow Murray and Sexton to dominate the game.

"We've got to make sure we don't give Ireland an opportunity to kick to the sidelines by giving away penalties and execute their driving lineout, which is pretty effective, and allow Johnny Sexton to keep their scoreboard ticking over".

Dan Biggar, Taulupe Faletau and Leigh Halfpenny have been declared fit for Wales' Six Nations clash with Ireland in Dublin.

The Ireland team is expected to be named on Thursday afternoon.

"Ireland ground out a win in France".

"I think they are very hard to beat, but to be a champion team you've got to win at home and away".

"We've been right up in the mix and things haven't gone right always, but we've always been there or thereabouts and we are a very tough team to break down".

"Andy Farrell (Ireland defence coach) won't be happy with Ireland conceding 19 points against Italy". He's done well and we know how good he is in the air defensively and on attack.
