  • Police in India arrested 26-year-old Krishna Sen Friday after she allegedly posed as a man and tricked two women into marriage for the dowry

Police said that they "have arrested a woman who was impersonating a man & married two women".

Police in India have arrested a woman who allegedly posed as a man and duped two women into marriage for dowry. However, soon after they were married, the couple had a downfall which culminating with the Indian woman assaulting his wife to secure her dowry.

Sen, who was at large, was traced by Kathgodam police and arrested on Wednesday.

Police told the BBC that it was revealed during the interrogation that Krishna was a woman.

According to Nainital SSP Janmejay Khanduri, Sweety Sen created a fake Facebook profile under the name Krishna Sen in 2013 and subsequently posted her photographs in a man's attire.

Sen and her first wife reportedly separated shortly after they were married.

"Sen had convinced her that she [Sen] was a man", Khanduri said. "We got her medical examination done and it was established that she was a woman", said BL Vishwakarma, a station house officer for Kathgodam police.

Police are also investigating whether Sen has tricked other women.

But that doesn't change the fact that NY needs to get their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach positions filled quickly. But that seems unlikely to happen now with Frank Reich being named the Indianapolis Colts next head coach.

After her "marriages", Sen allegedly did not let the women look at her body or touch her and used sex toys to consummate the relationship, police said.

It is hard to wrap one's head around several things here, but what comes across clearly is this: a woman had had an unsatisfactory marriage for four years, but not only did she not walk out of it, she continued to indulge her "husband's" demands and got her family to pay him Rs 8 lakh. The wife allegedly discovered her marriage was a sham and Sen threatened her.

Krishna then went on to marry another girl from Kaladhungi.

But her former in-laws lodged a police complaint accusing her of harassing their daughter for a dowry.

Another woman said that she came to know about the truth after two years of their marriage.

Krishna's bluff was called after the first wife registered a complaint with the police. The Indian woman was booked into jail on Wednesday, and the authorities are waiting for the complete report to arrive in order to approach the families affected by Sen's scams.

However, the Hindustan Times reported that Sen faces charges of impersonation, fraud, and forgery.
