President Trump, on his first trip to California since taking office, on Tuesday trashed the state's Democratic governor, saying Jerry Brown is a "nice guy" but doing a "terrible job".

"I think Gov. Brown has done a very poor job running California", Trump said.

Trump's insistence that Mexico pay for the wall has soured relations and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto recently canceled plans to visit Washington amid continuing disagreement. "You have sanctuary cities where you have criminals living in sanctuary cities, and then the mayor of Oakland goes out and notifies when ICE is going in to pick them up", he said. De Leon, a candidate for U.S. Senate, offered to show Trump parts of California other than Bel Air or Beverly Hills.

"The taxes are way, way out of whack, and people are going to start to move pretty soon", Trump predicted. "This is a political stunt", Brown said. California officials have defiantly refused to help federal agents detain and deport immigrants in the U.S. illegally, and the Justice Department sued the state last week over three of its immigration laws.

According to an invitation obtained by the Los Angeles Times, tickets for the event range from $35,000 just for the dinner up to $250,000 for the chance to meet Trump, attend a roundtable discussion and have a photo taken with him. Organizers said they are gathering to express "Southern California's opposition to the attacks on civil liberties launched by the Trump Administration". And on Tuesday, California Democrats in Congress sent a letter to Trump raising concerns about immigration raids and threats against state officials.

After viewing the wall prototypes in an area of the border heavily cordoned off and far from the rallies on the USA side, addressed the military at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar before flying to Los Angeles and attend a high-dollar fundraiser in Beverly Hills.

Now, Trump arrived in the most populous state in the country and looked at prototypes for what the proposed border wall may look like.

On his way to the viewing, Mr Trump tweeted: "California's sanctuary policies are illegal and unconstitutional and put the safety and security of our entire nation at risk". Obama EPA chief: Reg rollback won't stand MORE announced the lawsuit during a visit to Sacramento last week.

An angry mob of Trump supporters desecrated a Mexican flag that fell off a vehicle in San Diego, KTLA reports.

"California is using every power it has, and some it doesn't, to frustrate federal law enforcement", Sessions said.

California has been at the forefront of resistance to the Republican leader's anti-immigration agenda and at odds with his stance on a number of other issues, from gun control to marijuana and the environment. Thousands of risky & violent criminal aliens are released as a result of sanctuary policies, set free to prey on innocent Americans. "THIS MUST STOP!" he wrote. But, he said, "I have to do it".

After construction was completed, the prototypes were tested on several fronts, including on withstanding breaches, climbing, digging, their ability to slow down and stop border traffic, and whether they are safe for Border Patrol agents.

Jeff Schwilk, founder of San Diegans for Secure Borders, whose group participated in a rally in December near the prototypes that ended in clashes with counterprotesters, said the council's resolution does not reflect the views of many residents, who feel the border is not secure. "But here in San Diego, we view it much differently".
