The latest development comes after The Court of Appeal upheld a ruling on Wednesday that prevented Tom Evans and Kate James from bringing their 23-month-old son to Rome for more treatment.
Tom Evans said he and mother Kate James, 20, now hoped to have a "positive" meeting to discuss their son's care with doctors and praised the "professionalism" and "dignity" of staff.
Doctors at Alder Hey have argued that Alfie can not recover from his "relentless and progressive" brain condition that has left him in a semi-vegetative state.
