The report specifically cites that Apple is testing an iPhone display capable of detecting gestures from finger movements without actually touching the display. To note, the current generation of the iPad Pro already has trimmed down bezels on the sides, but the upcoming 2018 model will have the top and bottom bezels further reduced. The iPhone X's OLED screen curves slightly at the bottom, but the shape is mostly invisible to the human eye. A curved iPhone may be as little as two to three years away, the person said.

Both features are still in the early research and development stage and Apple could choose to not go forward with the enhancements. The company is said to be working on these new projects in hopes of making its smartphones stand out in a sea of competition.

The curved screens that Apple is working on are not similar to the ones that the company's South Korean rival, Samsung, has been using for its Galaxy-branded handsets. Google has its own take on the tech, secretly experimenting with it within an initiative called Project Soli.

But it probably won't make it on to the next iPhone X, which is expected to land in September.

Trump loads another tweet into the chamber - and fires on Amazon again
Given that they follow the same model one would think Donald Trump would have more respect for Amazon but he's clearly not a fan. As for the Postal Service, it has lost money for years, but online shopping has led to growth in its package-delivery business.

Touchless gesture control would allow end users to hover their finger over the display and still be able to interact with onscreen options.

A new report from Bloomberg has just been released hinting at some radical changes to the iPhone design. According to Bloomberg's sources, a touchless-gestures feature from Apple would use technology built into the display itself rather than sensing motion from a sensor on the front of the phone.

To access adequate OLED supplies for these new devices, Apple is expanding its sourcing from Samsung to also include LG Display, the people said.
