  • Apple targets schools with new iPad, apps

However, the technology will take at least two years to get fully developed if Apple decides to take it up seriously, stated a person familiar with the company's plans.

Apple has just released a new series of adverts and tutorials for iPad and iPad Pro, focusing on Apple Pencil, Split View and more! It's the first iPhone from the company that doesn't feature a physical home button and has a display notch. In the latest set of rumours coming out of Bloomberg, one states that Apple is exploring using touchless gesture control and curved screens. However, unlike Samsung's curved edge displays on their flagship smartphones, Apple will pull the curves on the top and bottom. But Apple's long-lasting distaste for curved displays may be going the way of its hatred of big-screen phones - which was legendary back in the day before the first Plus iPhone launched.

Technology changes faster than most of us can keep up.

Samsung now uses smartphone screens that curve, but its curved screens slope down at the edges, rather than from top to bottom. Both the projects are reportedly in their early stages of research and development. The features are expected to help Apple differentiate its devices in an increasingly crowded market, but are both said to be years away from appearing in finished products. So far, every iPhone model has used a flat display. Assumptions are that Apple may not be ready to mass produce such iPhones for the next two years. With last year's iPhone X, they showed how a fullscreen display is done in style along with a modern biometric verification system.

A new report claims that future iPhones might be equipped with technology that allows you to use them without having to touch their screen with your finger.

Industry insiders close to Bloomberg suggest that Apple is presently working on the curved displays for iPhones.
